Hey men’s groups! Looking for a service project?

Calling all skilled plumbers, electricians, contractors, etc. Is God prompting you to use these gifts to help another church?
What about the rest of us who may not have a special skill but can wield a paintbrush and do other manual labor? Yes, there are projects for you. We have opportunities for groups of men, women, youth or any combination!

Many of our urban and intercultural churches have limited resources to maintain and renovate their facilities. These facilities represent important ministry and so we want to give them the care that they need. Please look over the list below and see if God is laying one of these projects on your heart.

Church: Iglesia El Faro in Lebanon, PA

Our Hispanic/multicultural church in Lebanon, PA bought a former elementary school building with the vision of having a church as well as a number of community ministries meeting in the building. The projects include:

1. Painting the outside of the building. A church with a number of men and the capability of setting up scaffolding would be wonderful.
2. Roof: Sealing small holes and painting with an anti-corrosive.
3. Renovate second floor rooms: Includes: electrical repair, painting, installing a drop ceiling, window repair and carpet installation.
4. Locker rooms/changing rooms in shower area: Seal holes and paint.
5. Multi-purpose room: Repair the walls, wash the carpet and paint.
6. Stairwells: Wash walls with power washer, paint handrails and steps.
7. Basement bathrooms: improve plumbing, change toilets, paint walls.
8. Basement halls: repair ceiling, paint, install flooring or carpeting.
9. General clean-up jobs.

Church: First EFC in Brooklyn, NY

This is a very large facility that houses English, Chinese, and Arabic congregations as well as Russian and Armenian church plants. The building is showing its age and there are several projects needing attention:

• Repairing of stairwell walls/ replastering
• Painting

Church: Second EFC in Brooklyn, NY

• Painting the aluminum siding at the front of their 3 story ministry house next to the church. Requires someone familiar with painting aluminum siding and able to work on ladders.
• Handy-man jobs in and around the church. Projects for one day

Church: New Christ Sent Fellowship Church in Baltimore, MD

Adopt a room: several rooms in their three story row house (attached to the church) are destined for ministry use but need repairs to walls, painting, re-carpeting, etc.
