Conference Location

West Shore EFC

For many years our annual conference has been held at Tuscarora Conference Center. Though we hold fond memories of our times there, we felt it was important to move the conference around the district. For this first year, we are pleased that West Shore EFC has offered to be our hosts.

The conference services, workshops, dinners and lunches will be hosted at the church. The church also has a gym which will be open on Wednesday evening for pick-up basketball, and a two mile outside walking track.

Conference Electives and Affinity Groups

Elective Session 1– Weds. 1:00 pm

Preparing for the Peace - Ending the Worship Wars

  • In any war, the most significant strategy we can adopt is to plan for the peace. That is, to find ways in which we, as leaders, can go forward into a considered tomorrow, where we can set a healthy expectancy and create good habits in the devotional lives of our fellow believers. Led by Geoff Twigg.

Ministering to the Poor - Far more is said in the Bible about God’s heart for the poor than nearly any other topic. Dan Reeve and Renee Young will be sharing in this two part workshop on practical ways your church can take steps to touch those suffering from poverty in your community.

Queen for a Day (Pastor’s Wives only) - A time set aside for pastors' wives to enjoy an afternoon of encouragement - and a special surprise!

Conference Delegates

A significant part of our conference is the annual business session. It is in this session that reports are given on the district activities, churches are approved for membership, the budget is approved, elections for board members are held, and other district business is conducted. We strongly encourage every church to have representation at this meeting. To be a certified delegate, you only need to be a member of your church and appointed by them as delegate. Please check with your pastor or church chairman about your church’s procedure for appointing delegates.

Every church is entitled to be represented by its pastor or pastors (maximum of two) and a minimum of two other delegates. If a church is over 100 members, it is entitled to an additional delegate for every one hundred people with the maximum number of delegates being two pastors and five delegates.

Examples:
Main Street EFC, 90 members, Delegates Pastor Smith and Mr. & Mrs. Jones.
Washington Street EFC, 500 members, Delegates Pastor Smith, Pastor Charles, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Jones, Richard Right, Gary Greene, Jessica Blanchard

To register as a certified delegate - NEW Procedure!
If you are appointed by your church as a delegate, please indicate that on the registration form. That’s all you need. No additional forms. No stickers. We’re so glad you’ll be participating in this significant way!
