Women in Real Time; the Time is Now!

Women’s Ministry Leaders in the Eastern District welcomed Jackie Redmond, Reach National Director EFCA Women’s Ministry, on March 28-29, 2008 at the EFC in Blairstown, NJ and on April 18-19 at Cornerstone EFC in Annandale, VA.  A total of 90 women attended the “Women in Real Time; the Time is Now” seminars and were blessed by both the hospitality of the Blairstown and Annandale women and the thought-provoking material that Jackie presented.

On Friday night there was an informal dessert reception to meet Jackie hear her personal testimony and her call to the National Ministry position.  The women returned on Saturday to participate in two sessions:

  • “The Timeless Disciplemaking Pathway of Jesus” where we discussed the life of Jesus from the gospels to uncover His intentional plan for reproducing disciples.
  • “The Disciplemaking Pathway for Women in Real Time” which included an interactive workshop on how to achieve a balance in our personal life and in our ministry priorities to increase our fruitfulness and productivity for the Kingdom.

The evaluations revealed that the women were encouraged by the material Jackie shared.

  • "I loved the time with Jackie, she is clearly called of God and His humble servant.  It was helpful hearing from the others as well.”
  • "Very thought provoking and relevant to our Women's Ministry."
  • "It helped me to see how to equip myself and others."
  • "Good, actually GREAT, encouragement to go back to where God has me placed and be obedient to His command, making disciples."
  • "I feel that we learned a lot on the direction of Women's Ministries. I am very excited about the growth and future.  Also learned more about discipling."
  • "It helped me to see where our ministry strengths and weaknesses are.  It was helpful to hear from the other ministries to gain insight and hold one another up in prayer."
  • "Jackie's words were life and truth to me and our ministry."

The Eastern District Women’s Ministry Team looks forward to hosting women’s ministry leadership seminars in the spring of 2009. Please know that we are willing to come and help the leaders in the local churches.  We will continue to share the “Disciplemaking Pathway of Jesus”.  Please let me know if there is anyway that we can help you.
